--A New Home

The Murrah's new home world is, thankfully, quite similar to their old home of Pelmei-- temperate and fertile and full of all sorts of plants and animals. The basic energies are the same, so the power of the Murran mystics remains much the same here. There are differences however, and not just in the types of flora and fauna to be found.

--The Tunnels

There are two tunnels leading from Haurah: one back to their old world of Pelmei, and a very unstable one to the human world. When the first tunnel was built, the oldest and most powerful of the Murran mystics perished from creating it. The second tunnel claimed even more lives. It is because of these tunnel that the Murrah can escape Pelmei and live successfully on Haurah, but it is also why there are very few mystics left among them.

The tunnel leading between Pelmei and Haurah has been dubbed the Nightmare Tunnel, because of the often hellish experience of traveling through it. The tunnel is completely devoid of light and feels as though it is made of real rock and mud, except for the fact that the walls constantly buckle and writhe like a snake through water. The walls sometimes feel as though they give way under a grabbing paw, and slick objects slide by on every side, while a Murrah tries to climb forward through it. Though, as unreal as the 'rock' may feel, injuries are very common...especially if a Murrah loses its grip and goes tumbling back through the tunnel, as if an invisible wind was sucking them back toward the entrance. The journey is often dangerous and terrifying, haunting the traveler for days afterward. Thankfully, there are a group of Murrah who call themselves the Runners, who are dedicated to helping others make it through the tunnel safely.

The Nightmare tunnel has a second entrance that Teg, the leader of the runners, discovered while exploring. It comes out in Haurah near the first entrance of Pathstone. This second entrance was dubbed Blindtwin, because of its accidental discovery.

The second tunnel to be created, leading toward the human world, is the Wavering Tunnel, because of its unstable nature. Since less-powerful mystics created this tunnel, it isn't safe for deep travel. Instead, Murrah crawl part of the way inside and search for their human guardian. If they find a willing human, and the human agrees, they're souls are bonded and the Murrah quickly climbs back out of the tunnel.

Both tunnels are real enough to leave sparkling tunnel-dirt, gritty slime, and dampness in the fur of Murrah.

--The Nyanid

The shadowy magic creatures who attack and kill unprotected Murrah have only been called the Nyanid, or the 'unknown people.'

No one has ever seen one directly, and they leave no marks on the bodies of those they kill. The only thing that is known about them is they bring a heavy blinding darkness with them, and strike when they can't be seen. If a Murrah has been bonded to a human, the strength of the other soul somehow helps defend against whatever magic or ritual they use.

They only message that has ever been sent by them was heard in the mind of the first-and-only Murrah they let live, and that was an order to leave Haurah forever.

...The Murrah didn't listen, so the battle continues.
